Switch Unit for Steering Column - E65/E66 745i/750i/760Li 3/2004+

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 61319289173 (61 31 9 289 173) and is described as the Switch Unit Base for the Steering Column on the E65 (short wheel base) and E66 (long wheel base) BMW 7 series with a production date of 3/2004 and newer. This includes all 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 model years. 

For model years before 2005 you will need to check your vehicle production date (located on the driver's door jamb VIN plate) and determine if it was produced from 3/2004 and later, or if it was before 3/2004. Not for cars with a production date before 3/2004!
