Rear Shock Mount (RSM), URO - E30, E36, E46, Z3, Z4

The rear shock mount is where the top of the rear shock meets the body on E30, E36, E46, Z3, and Z4 models. This mount is made by URO.

A lot of different mounts were used by BMW but they are all basically the same for the models listed below. Stock mounts are a known failure point as the rubber center separates from the metal base and the top of the shock ends up in your trunk. There were several heavy-duty mounts (E30 cabrio and E46 M3) but this part number is for the standard mount only. We strongly recommend the E46 M3, Meyle HD, Repair Shop, or Powerflex mounts as they have better designs than this original.

This part is manufactured by an aftermarket supplier of European auto parts, including many suspension components. While not carrying OEM status, this part follows the design of the original very closely and uses similar materials. An aftermarket part may even have the same TUV approval as its OEM counterpart. The brand may even be OEM to another manufacturer besides BMW. This aftermarket brand has a two year warranty - the same as Genuine BMW and OEM brands.
