The Verus Engineering carbon hood louver kit for the BMW G87 M2 Coupe helps to reduce engine bay heat and pressure. The louver improves cooling stack efficiency, increases under-hood component longevity, and adds a bump in front end downforce by alleviating air pressure in the engine bay.
Using scan data, this hood vent was developed to have an OEM type fit, following the contour of the hood panel. Special care was taken to ensure the louver was placed in an area that removed *minimal* under hood structure while locating the vent in an area of low pressure for maximum evacuation.
Through CFD and on track data, the louvers has proven to dramatically reduce under-hood temperatures and improve aerodynamic balance.
