This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 51132251639 (51 13 2 251 639) and is described as Genuine BMW Circlip for M Technic / M-Tech / M3 style body side mouldings, used used on all E36 M3 models, and any E36 3 series with M-Tech body side molding trim. This is the flat metal spring clip (not plastic).
Only for cars with M3 or M-Technic side moldings. These are often used as an upgrade on non-M models, and standard equipment on all M3, 325i M-Technic, and 318ti Clubsport models. The M-Technic side mouldings are much wider and flatter in appearance than the standard non-M side mouldings.
Sold individually, so be sure to order multiples to do the job correctly. We recommend buying a few spares.
