Windshield Washer Level Sensor, BMW - E30 E32 E34 E36 (Early) Z3 - 61311388548

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 61311388548 and is described as Windshield Washer Level Sensor for several BMW chassis including E30 3 Series, E34 5 Series, E32 7 Series, E36 3 Series (Up to 2/1996 production), E31 8 Series (Up to 2/1996 production) and Z3 Roadster/Coupes. This sensor connects to the washer reservoir on several different BMW chassis / models (check your fitment carefully below.) 

This sensor's job is to detect when the windshield washer bottle is low on washer fluid. This is a great feature for safety, but eventually this sensor will stop working and give a false "low wash fluid" indicator all the time. Don't suffer with erroneous warning lights! Replace this sensor and you can not only put the warning light out, but you can actually know when it's time to put another splash of wash fluid in your reservoir! 

This sensor was used on some 80's and the first half of the 90's or so. If you have an E36 series or E31 8 series, you will need to make sure your car is a 1995 or older. If your car is a 1996 you will need to check your production date (or sensor) before ordering. This sensor only works on E36 and E31 cars up to and including 02/1996 production dates. Anything after 02/96 will use the later style sensor, which we also carry. 

E30 (1984-1992), Z3 (1996-2002 including MZ3), E24 6 Series (1987-1989), E32 and E34 all used this level sensor for all years, so checking your production date should not necessary. 

This is the Genuine BMW replacement part. It's often the best value to get an official and authentic BMW part if you are doing either a very fussy restoration of a classic BMW, or insist on original BMW parts for quality, fitment, or peace of mind. For this reason we carry this part in both aftermarket and Genuine versions, this being the most expensive, but Genuine BMW component.
