This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 61661380068 (61 66 1 380 068) and is described as the Windshield Washer Pump for multiple BMW models. A washer pump may be used for multiple functions, even on the same car, including front windshield, rear hatch/tailgate, or headlight cleaning. BMW does not always distinguish which pump does which function and there may be changes to a system during the vehicle's production run. This part number replaces previous BMW numbers 61 66 1 380 068, 61668360614, 67128360244, 61661380066, and 61661377830*.

* 61661377830 note - other brands list this part number but it has the wrong electrical connector for these models and requires a new connector be installed on your car's wiring harness.
