Genuine BMW Brake Booster - Early E46 M3 (2001-2002)

This brake booster unit, also commonly referred to as a "brake servo unit" by BMW, was used on the earlier model year E46 M3, including the 2001 and 2002 models (only). 
The brake booster works off engine vacuum and provides power assist for the brake hydraulics. When the brake booster leaks or fails, it can leave your M3's power brake powerless, with a super firm pedal that requires a huge amount of effort to effectively brake - a very danger condition!
