DSC Yaw / Speed Sensor - E38, E39, E46 xi, E53 , Z8 & E39 M5

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 34526753694 (34-52-6-753-694) and is described as Genuine BMW Speed Sensor (Also known as a Yaw Sensor) for many E38 7 Series (1999-2001) 740i / 740iL / 750iL, E39 5 Series (1999-2003) 525i / 530i / 528i / 540i, E46 325xi/330xi (2001-2005), E53 X5 (2000-2001), E39 M5, and Z8 Roadster. 

This is an original BMW made replacement Yaw / speed sensor for the DSC system on my "2000s" model BMWs. It first started being used in 1999, with an upgrade in the DSC / dynamic stability control system. It's essentially the accelerometer of the car, detecting inertial changes of the car to determine if the DSC system needs to intervene or not. When it fails, the system will get incorrect readings (or no yaw / speed sensor reading at all). 

This part number, 34526753694 (34-52-6-753-694) can also be used to replace the older /  obsolete part number which was BMW part # 34521165292 (34-52-1-165-292). 

This speed sensor is a critical piece of the DSC system, and when it fails it leaves your DSC crippled with DSC/ABS warning lights and drive-ability issues. If you or your mechanic has trouble shot it down to a fault DSC speed sensor, this new Bosch OE replacement sensor may be the fix for your DSC light issues.
