Building an S50 or S52 with HFM, injectors, and cams and looking for a proven, reputable, and reliable tuning solution? Epic Motorsports is our favorite tuner for the E36 engine family and someone we turn to for our own E36 race and project cars. This is a calibration file based on the popular S52 upgrades we have seen and then tweaked for your specific setup. This isn't a true “custom” tune - which requires live tuning on the dyno - but is as close to custom as we can get. Epic has been beating the competition on and off the track for 20 years.
For this chip you will need:
Euro or 540 HFM
24lb injectors (24lb measured at 3.0 bar)
Upgraded cams (Stock, Schrick, Epic Race, or Sunbelt)
Headers and exhaust
Lightweight or single-mass flywheel (small bump in idle)
Make sure you tell us any other changes in engine spec so we can double-check the calibration.
Select which Bosch ECU you are using: the early Bosch Red Label 413 (non-EWS) or the later Bosch Silver Label (413 or 506) with EWS. The Silver Label includes the EWS-delete option.
93 is the default octane. Contact us if you have other needs.
