Coolant Level Sensor With Round Pins - E30 E34 E24 E32 (1987-1995)

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 61311378320 (61-31-1-378-320) and is described as Coolant Level Sensor, Late Style (Round Pins) for E30 3-series (1987, 1988, 1990, 1991), E34 530i/540i/M5 (1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995), E24 635CSI/M6 (1987, 1988, 1989), and all E32 7-Series.

A failed coolant sensor will give erroneous coolant level, a warning light, and may also leak from the expansion tank. We also recommend replacing this sensor as a preventative measure during any cooling system overhaul.

This part is manufactured by Febi-Bilstein, an aftermarket and OEM supplier of European auto parts, including many cooling components. While not carrying original-equipment, this part follows the design of the original very closely and uses similar materials.
