Oil Cooler Retrofit Kit (Partial + More), OEM - E9X 335i

This kit is for retrofitting the factory engine oil cooler to early production E9X 335i models. We took a pre-existing kit that was short a few items and added more that we feel are necessary and additional items that help complete the install. Neither kit should be considered a complete plug-and-play kit as BMW does not offer the parts as such.

This more complete kit includes:
1 x oil cooler
1 x inner holder bolt
1 x bumper air duct
3 x bumper air duct screw
1 x fender liner air duct
4 x c-clip
4 x air duct screw
1 x oil filter housing with gaskets
1 x oil filter
1 x oil cooler adapter / thermostat
3 x oil cooler adapter bolts
1 x oil feed hose
1 x oil return hose
4 x oil hose o-ring
1 x oil hose clamp bracket
2 x oil hose mounting screw

This kit has more than the bare bones kits on the market but it still may be missing some small items and hardware. The BMW diagrams do not exactly spell out what parts are needed for a retrofit. We tried to cover everything. The key to this kit is the duct that the oil cooler mounts into. The outer oil cooler mounts are screwed into this duct. The inner mounts use existing studs on your frame rail. There is also an inner upper bracket that uses an M6 screw - your car may already have the female inner mounting holder for this - check your frame rail because it can save you $25. Any radiator relies on air passing through it to cool the fluid. This kit includes the front duct to deliver air to the cooler. But the air must also exit. You can buy a new fender liner with the cutout for the air vent. Or modify your existing liner by cutting a hole using the included vent as a template. New mounting screws for the vent are included.

All parts in this kit are from OEM suppliers to BMW. As OEMs they meets all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and are TUV approved. OEM parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. These parts has a two year warranty.

We list this for 2007-2008 335i but you can use this as a total overhaul of an existing oil cooler.
