Stainless mesh screens for the upper (kidney) and lower (front bumper) openings on 2006-2008 E85/E86 Z4 3.0i and 3.0si. This mesh screen is designed to fit with your existing plastic factory grille and add a crucial layer of protection against tire and other road debris as well as other intrusions that can puncture a radiator or oil cooler.
Stainless mesh screen is expertly formed to match your original grille size and shape. Offered in standard bright or a stealthy black semi-gloss polymer finish. These grilles are made from a rugged 316L stainless steel to ensure that quality can be seen and a long lasting finish can be achieved with minimal maintenance. This kit includes pre-cut and pre-sized mesh screen for your existing grille, instructions, and attachment hardware (when necessary). Additional fastening is encouraged, especially if the car will see regular track use or if it appears the bumper will flex or make contact with the road surface or debris.
Installation is easy and straightforward using simple hand tools. Since each Zunsport is model-specific no cutting, snipping, or modification should be required. Stainless mesh is typically installed from the outside, offering the most protection. However, installation from the backside is a possibility if you are comfortable removing more trim pieces for access. Additional, or alternative, hardware may be required when mounting from the backside.
Note: stock-type plastic kidney grilles should not be removed. The retaining tabs are extremely fragile and generally cannot take more than one install.
