Sachs Performance Clutch Kit - E30 M3

Sachs Performance sport clutch kit for 1987-1992 E30 M3 is an OEM+ clutch kit with higher torque capacity for normal street use. It this case it really is OEM+ - Sachs is the OEM supplier to BMW for most clutch components.

Complete kit contains*:
+ pressure plate screws
+ steel clutch pin and spring
+ alignment tool
+ Sachs Performance clutch disc - HD/sport spec for street use but with better and higher quality organic materials that have greater capacity for torque and heat than standard organic clutches.
+ Sachs Performance pressure plate - HD/sport spec with greater clamping force than a standard part. Built with heavy-duty rivets and straps to handle additional power and torque.
+ Sachs Performance throw-out bearing - HD/sport spec to handle higher loads and higher speeds.

This E30 performance clutch is a HD version of the stock clutch but uses better and higher quality organic materials. The sport organic material makes it usable for regular street use but with more capacity to handle higher torque and resist slipping from higher heat. The pressure plate and release bearing have also been similarly upgraded with more clamping force and heavy duty design to handle higher loads. Expect higher pedal effort with the sport pressure plate.

This kit uses a sprung-hub clutch that must be used with a single-mass flywheel. Partial kit and individual components also available, please inquire.

Note that clutches require a break-in period of approximately 200 miles. Sachs recommends gentle but frequent use of the clutch without slipping. Abrupt and heavy torque should be avoided to not overheat the material. Failure to properly break-in the clutch will void the warranty.
