SMG III Position Sensor Repair Harness - E60 M5, E63 M6

The M5/M6 SMG gear position harness is a hidden pitfall than can leave you without gear changing or even prevent the engine from starting. Damaged, frayed, or melted gear position wiring is not uncommon and can be difficult to diagnose. The wiring is at the top of the transmission, requiring the transmission to be lowered or removed to access and replace.

This is a replacement harness and plug. The wires are not color-coded like the factory but a pin diagram is included.
