Shifter Carrier Bushing (Ultra Oval), Powerflex - E46 330xi, E9X Xi, E60, E53, E85/E86 6MT

The 6-speed manual transmission uses this “ultra oval” bushing (2 required) on the forward end of the shifter carrier arm. Worn bushings on the shifter carrier can lead to vague and sloppy shifter feel and even mis-shifts as the carrier moves around. Replaces BMW part numbers 25117528407 and 25117505740. Sold as a pair.

Rubber bushings have too much deflection, especially when old and worn and cause vague and sloppy shift feel. Urethane bushings slot in-between soft rubber and more solid materials to deliver more precision and performance without degrading Noise, Vibration, or Harshness. The firmer material keeps the shift linkage in alignment with less variation, reducing the chances of a mis-shift.
