The original BMW pan gaskets on DCT transmissions tend to fail as heat and oil exposure take their toll. These upgraded gaskets are made from Viton, and are resistant to temperatures of up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. For comparison, the original gaskets can only withstand temps around 230 degrees Fahrenheit. Upgrading your DCT transmission pan gaskets is a great idea, whether you have a street car or are hitting the track.
