This transmission support brace / cross-member is a common item if you are doing either a 6 speed swap in your US-spec E36 or are doing an S54 swap into your E36. As Euro-spec M3 models were never brought to the states (and very few to Canada) this piece is not something you'll find in a salvage yard or second hand. Fortunately, it's not too expensive (especially if you buy it from BimmerWorld!) Make sure you have all the right parts needed for your S54 swap or 6 speed conversion.
