This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 33406850159 (33 40 6 850 159), which replaces former part number 33406850156 (33 40 6 850 156), described as Angular-Contact Ball Bearing, which is BMW's fancy description for the rear wheel bearing assembly (a sealed ball bearing) for many 2009+ F chassis BMW 5 Series (2011-2017), 6 series (2012-2018), and 7 series (2009-2015). 

If your rear wheel bearings are making the wailing death song (either a hum, whine or deep droning), or you have any play in the rear wheels when you grab and test them on a lift, then it's probably time for a new rear wheel bearing or two. 

This bearing is specifically for the F10 5 Series (2011-2017 528i, 528xi, 535i, 535xi, 550i, 550ix, Hybrid 5), F07 5 Series GT (535i GT and 535xi GT), F12 6 Series Coupe, F13 6 Series Convertible, F06 6 series "GC" Gran Coupe (640i, 640ix, 650i, 650ix / xDrive, Alpina B6), and the F01/F02 BMW 7 Series (740i, 740Li, 750i, 750Li, 750Li xDrive, 760Li, Alpina B7, and Hybrid 7). 

This rear wheel bearing can be used on either the left or right side of the vehicle (driver or passenger side). 

Manufactured by FAG, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for BMW. While you could pay much for the Genuine BMW dealer part, this rear wheel bearing is the same high quality, long life, and smooth precision you expect, but at a considerably lower price.
