The wheel bearing isn't something most people think about until it's time to replace them. They generally work seamlessly... Until they don't. If you've noticed a groaning from one or both of the front wheels on your X5 or X6, especially when turning, it's likely a bearing(s).
The easiest way to verify if it's your wheel bearings is to jack up the car, put a hand on top and on the bottom of the wheel in question, and try to see if the wheel has any play. If it does, it's best to change the wheel bearings before they become more than just an annoying sound and leave you stranded on the road.
