New front hub with bearings for E28 5-series and E24 6-series from an OEM supplier. The Front Hub (Wheel Bearing) isn't something most people think about until it's time to replace them. They generally work seamlessly... Until they don't. If you've noticed a groaning from one or both of the front wheels on your E28 5-Series (incl. M5) or E24 6-Series (incl. M6), especially when turning, it's likely the bearings.
***Important E30 M3 Info***: This hub used to be the preferred alternative to the very expensive Genuine BMW front hub. All it required was the original M3 ABS tone ring to be transferred over. However, since late-2025 there was a production change to the casting and the casting is now too small for the original M3 tone ring, leaving a very small gap. As of now there is no solution to using an OEM E28 wheel bearing with the M3 ABS ring. See our Related Items below for other alternatives.
The easiest way to verify if it's your wheel bearings is to jack the front of the car, put a hand on top and on the bottom of the wheel in question, and try to see if the wheel has any play. If it does, it's best to change the wheel bearings before they become more than just an annoying sound and leave you stranded on the road.
This is an OEM E28 front wheel bearing manufactured by Schaeffler (formerly FAG) - the original supplier to BMW for this part, as well as many other hubs and bearings. Schaeffler acquired the F.A.G. brand in 2001 and has been slowly phasing out the branding. As the OEM it meets all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and is TUV approved. OEM parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. This part has a two year warranty.
Priced per hub.
