This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 12311466081 (12 31 1 466 081) and is described as a a Bosch Remanufactured Alternator / Generator for the early model E30 325e and E28 528e -- cars made up to and including 10/1985 build dates. This will be all of the 1985 model year 325e and 528e and the first two months of the 1986 model year production. Please check your build date or alternator part number if you aren't sure. It's also very common to use the later style alternator in these earlier cars, but we list this early number to help 325e and 528e owners find the correct alternator for their application.
