Upper Thrust Bearing Shell, Yellow, BMW - E82, F22, E9X, F3X, E60, F10, F13, F02, X3, X4, X5, X6, Z4 (N52, N54, N55)

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 11218605858 (11 21 8 605 858) and is described as an upper thrust bearing shell for the N51/N52, N54, and N55 engines used in E82, F22, E9X, F3X, E60, F10, F13, F02, E83, F25, F26, E70, F15, E85, E89 BMW models. This is the upper guide shell with a yellow color code and is the standard 56.00mm size.

The upper main bearings must be decoded from a string of letters on the side of the engine block: A = Yellow (11218605858), B = Green (11218605857), C = Red (11218605856). Note that upper main bearing codes may differ than the lower main bearing codes printed on the first crankshaft counterweight. It is possible to have mixed combination of color codes.

Note that these engines do not use a lower thrust bearing shell. There is an extra lower main bearing instead.
