This is an lower shell with a brown color code or "Code 3", and is the standard 50.00mm size.

Important Bearing ID Note: BMW has a different way of identifying B46 main and rod bearings. Locate a letter code on the side of the engine block and combine that with a number on the front of the crankshaft. The 2-digit combination determines the upper and lower main bearing colors/codes. It would not be unusual to have a mix of codes and colors. Note that bearing position 3 is the thrust bearing shells and are different part number than the rest.
