Lower Thrust Bearing Shell (Green), BMW - M20 -3/88

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 11211722434 (11 21 1 722 434) and is described as a lower thrust bearing shell for early M20 engines - produced before 3/1988. This is the standard 60mm size with a green paint code. This fits in the bearing cap - the lower half of the crankshaft main bearing. Sold per bearing shell.

Main bearing shells are color coded. Yellow is the thinnest material, green is in the middle, and white is the thickest. BMW recommends checking oil clearance with Plastigage for each crankshaft journal. Yellow is the default replacement, if your gap is too large use a green or white shell to bring it into spec.
