Bosch SR441X starter motor for the M30 engine used in E34 535i, E34 M5, E24 635CSi (12/1987+ production), and E32 735i/735iL (11/1987+ production).

A locked up starter is a common cause of no-start conditions on the M30 engine. If you have plenty of battery power but the starter doesn't click or turn it likely needs to be replaced. There may be other factors too so make sure you check the rest of the car for potential causes - especially your engine grounds. Even if you manage to get the starter to spin, it's on its last legs and should be replaced ASAP.

This part number replaces, or is compatible with, BMW part numbers 12411466100, 12411720663, 12 41 1 720 663, 12 41 1 720 664, SR441X, 0986014890.

Other Applications Note: we have heard that it's common for this starter to be used in other applications (M10, S14) but note that this is a more powerful starter (1.7kW) that will draw more amperage through your wires and that the terminals and layout may not be compatible with your vehicle.
