If your BMW M52TU or M54 has a noisy VANOS unit, this is the factory solution. This is a new VANOS adjuster unit with new solenoids, seals, and hardware. While we ultimately prefer the Dr. VANOS rebuilt unit, a new factory unit is not a bad choice overall and should give many thousands of trouble-free miles.

This is a Genuine BMW Vanos unit with a two year warranty. Buying a Genuine part will usually be more expensive than an OEM or aftermarket brand but you are assured that it meets BMW's designs for fitment, performance, and longevity. It will also be the very latest design, incorporating any updates or revisions that an aftermarket brand typically will ignore.

BMW has revised this part several times and this latest part number replaces previous numbers 11361440142 and 11361438448. It's impossible to know how much BMW has improved on the materials and assembly of this latest VANOS unit but we would prefer to trust a specialist like Dr. VANOS than the mass-produced factory part.
