This Intake adjuster fits to 2018-2019 F22 230i/M240i, F30 330i/340i, F32 430i/440i, G30 530i/540i, X1/X2 28i, X3/X4 30i, and X3/X4 M40i models. This is the adjuster unit that rotates the exhaust camshaft during normal VANOS operation. A failure of the adjuster will cause the camshaft to be fixed in one position, or may have a delayed reaction, affecting performance and drivability.

The B46/B58 VANOS system is made up of several components, all of which could give you VANOS issues (power loss, rough running, poor fuel economy, slow starting, rattle noises, and check engine faults).
