VANOS Intake Sprocket, BMW - F10 550i, F13 650i, F02 750i, X5/X6 50i

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 11367598001 (11 36 7 598 001) and is described as VANOS Adjustment Unit, Inlet. This sprocket / gear assembly is part of the variable valve adjustment system, and is known to go bad on occasion, triggering engine faults, poor performance, and other issues. It is used on both the N63 V8 engine (2009-2012) as well as the N74 V12 engine.

This is for the intake camshaft on either bank 1 (passenger side) or bank 2 (driver side) of V8 and V12 engines.

Fitment Note: On V8 applications this part was used in model years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. Cars after 2012 may be the newer revision of the N63. Please check your fitment carefully, as this part does NOT fit the later revision of the N63 engine. This is especially important to check on 5/6/7 series V8 models (550i, 650i, 750i/750Li).

Replace the sprocket if the teeth are sharp or have significant polishing.
