Valvetronic Gasket - E9x 328i, 128i, X3 3.0si, X5 3.0si, Z4 3.0si - N51/N52

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 11127552280 (11-12-7-552-280) and is described as Valvetronic Gasket for N51/N52 3.0 liter 6 cylinder engine, as used on many E90/E91/E92/E93 3 series (naturally aspirated) including 328i, 128i as well as X3 3.0si, X5 3.0si, Z4 3.0si and others. 

This pesky gasket is known to leak, and the failure of this gasket is linked to the premature failure of a very expensive valvetronic sensor. We recommend replacing this gasket as a preventative measure to avoid both an oil leak and or accelerated valvetronic sensor. If your valvetronic sensor has already failed (which causes check engine light and fault codes) then you will need a new gasket, as the old gasket will not be re-usable.  

Not for cars before 2006. Only for cars with N52 6 cylinder non-turbo engine. This engine was used in some 3 series through the 2013 model year, but many chassis stopped using this engine after the 2011 model year. If your "28i" or "30i" powered BMW has a 6 cylinder naturally aspirated (non-turbo) engine between 2007 and 2011 (as well as 2006 3 series sedan, and 2012-2013 1 & 3 series coupe/convertible), this is likely a gasket used on  your car. 

Not for 5 series before the 2006 model year. 5 series before 2006 used the earlier/older style engine, which this valvetronic gasket is not for.
