Motor Mount, Left, OEM - F22, F3X, X3, X4 28i xDrive

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 22116856183 (22-11-6-856-183) and is described as the left / driver's side engine motor mount for most N20/N26 and B46 engines used in F22 228i/230i xDrive, F30 320i/328ixDrive*, F32 430i xDrive, F25 X3 28i, and F26 X4 28i.

* Fitment note: F30 328i xDrive only for 2012-2013 model years.

Stock motor mounts are filled with a vibration-dampening fluid giving them a hydraulic like absorbency. Mounts go bad when the fluid leaks or evaporates from the engine mount, leaving a rubber block that is far too flexible and "squishy" to do a proper job of supporting the engine. Once the engine mount fails, it causes engine shaking, vibration, as well as unwanted driveline twisting. This twisting action will harm the rest of the drivetrain bushings (like transmission and differential mounts) as well as the metal motor mount arms that hold these in place. In some cases the engine can twist far enough to cause contact with other components (such as a fan into a radiator or a belt into a hose).

This is an OEM motor mount manufactured by Corteco - the original supplier to BMW for this part, as well as many other rubber components. As the OEM it meets all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and is TUV approved. OEM parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. This part has a two year warranty.
