This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 13621362599 (13 62 1 362 599) and is described as Genuine BMW Thermo-Time Switch (TTS) for the fuel injection system of some of the classic BMW engines including some M10, M20, and M30 engines. This sensor provides coolant temp data to the ECU to control the cold-start injector. It's a vital sensor to fuel injection operation and is a good part to have on hand as a spare.
