This OEM replacement N52 Valve Cover is the complete valve cover overhaul that includes the gaskets and hardware. Rein has done extensive materials research and testing to offer a new OE-style plastic valve cover that is more resistant to cracks and warping than the original.

This kit is for BMW models with the N52 or N51 non-turbo engine - E82 128i, E9X 328i, E60 528i, E70 X5 3.0si, E83 X3, E85 Z4, E89 Z4, F10 528i N51/N52. If a complete overhaul of your valve cover is in your future, this is the best kit to have. It includes all of the commonly-replaced items and saves you money.

Note on E85/E86 Z4 3.0i & 3.0si models: Only for model year 2007 and 2008. Not for 2006 Z4. Z4 models produced before 10/2006 use a metal valve cover.

It's very common for the valve cover gasket to fail on the N52 (or N51 SULEV) powered naturally aspirated 6 cylinder. This usually happens right around 100k miles, and sometimes earlier. If you are getting a whiff of burning oil while driving or perhaps as you drive through a drive-thru with your windows down, it may be your valve cover gasket weeping oil onto your hot exhaust manifold. This is not good! Not only is your BMW losing oil, but it's a smoke and fire hazard. If your BMW is suffering from a valve cover gasket failure, this kit can be used to do the job right.
