Rear Main Seal & Cover Kit, URO - E36 E46 E39 Z3 Z4 (M52 M54 S52)

This is a URO Parts rear main seal, pre-installed in the cover, with new hardware for M52, M52TU, M54, and M56 engines. The rear main seal is a common source of rear engine oil leaks and this is a handy kit for a direct replacement with no need to press out the old / press in the new seal.

Kit includes:
1 x rear cover
1 x rear main seal
1 x steel gasket to engine block
4 x M6x28mm hex bolt
2 x M8x32mm hex bolt

Spring or No Spring? This Genuine BMW part does not use the internal spring. There are pros and cons of having the spring here. It does a better job of sealing against the crankshaft. But the spring often falls off and can cause further damage to the seal. We prefer the non-spring type for high-revving track and race engines.
