Valve Cover Gasket Set, Complete, Elring - E46, E39, E53, Z3 99-02

This is a OEM valve cover gasket set for 1999-2002 E46 323i/325i/328i/330i, E39 525i/528i/530i, E53 X5 3.0, and Z3 2.3/2.5/2.8/3.0i. This is a complete gasket set with the main outer valve cover, inner spark plug gasket rings, and outer hardware grommet.

The valve cover is sealed to the cylinder head with these gaskets and they prevent oil from leaking out of the top of the engine. Oil leaks make the engine bay messy, rob the internals of precious lubrication, and could do damage to external sensors or hardware in the engine bay. Leaks can also affect the internal pressure and vacuum of the valve cover.

Note: the original M52TU/M54 valve cover is a plastic composite and is known to crack or deform over time. Oil leaks may not be coming from the gaskets and may be due to a failure of the valve cover itself. Complete valve covers with gaskets and hardware are also available and may be a better choice.

This is an OEM Valve Cover Gasket Set for M52TU/M54 engines manufactured by Elring Klinger - an original supplier to BMW for many gaskets and seals.
