This upgraded aluminum oil pan is for N20/N26-powered, rear-wheel drive models and is a direct replacement for the original-equipment plastic oil pan. Plastic oil pans are good as a cheap and lightweight alternative to traditional alloy pans. But they are susceptible to heat, chemicals, and age where cracks will form easily and lead to oil leaks. This aluminum alternative is a direct replacement and includes a high-quality AEM oil pan gasket and a new metal drain plug.
