This belt roller / idler pulley is for the serpentine drive belt system on the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 model Z4 roadsters with the M54 2.5i (2.5 liter) and M54 3.0i (3.0 liter) engines. This is the first generation Z4 with the earlier (pre-facelift) engine type. 

If your belt system has developed a squeak, screeching, or similar noise, or you are doing a belt replacement on your Z4, this deflection roller / idler pulley should be on your parts list.
