Front Right 348x30mm brake rotor with cross-drill pattern and anti-rust coating for F10 535d/535i, F06-F13 640i. This part number fits standard 535i brakes, not the optional High Speed Brakes package. This rotor is 348mm x 30mm (same diameter but 6mm narrower than the High Speed Brakes).

Cross-drilled rotors are used mostly to enhance the performance aesthetic of your car. Slotted or blank rotors have greater capacity to store heat so we prefer those for track and racing use. Cross-drilled rotors still have their place as a design that looks great with no detrimental effects under normal street use. Many sports car manufacturers still use drilled rotors because of their sporty looks while knowing they don't lose any effectiveness during normal driving. The holes into the vanes do offer an advantage in wet conditions where the water has an easy escape from the rotor surface. StopTech Drilled rotors are made using Centric High Carbon blank rotors. A black electrostatic coating is applied to prevent rust on the brake hat and vanes. The entire rotor is coated, followed by CNC double-disc grinding and drilling of the friction surface and final computer balancing.

High Speed Brakes
The F10 535i was offered with a "High Speed Brakes" option (option code S5AEA) which used the stock rotors and calipers from the heavier and faster 550i. Although a rare option, we encourage 535i owners to check their brakes before ordering to ensure the correct parts are supplied. There are two ways to tell if you have the High Speed Brakes option: the front rotors are directionally vented (the cooling vanes sweep towards the rear) and the rear rotors are 345mm (13.58") instead of 330mm (12.99"). If in doubt, you can contact us with your VIN and we can check for you.

Note: this StopTech rotor is a single-piece cast iron rotor. The factory BMW rotor is a 2-piece iron disc with an aluminum hub. BMW advertised the lighter weight as a way of lowering emissions and improving fuel economy. There is likely no performance difference between them but the StopTech will be slightly heavier compared to stock.

Price is per rotor. Photo is for reference but is representative of what you will receive.
