This fuel pump for the 1989-91 E30 318i sedan and 318is coupe is made by URO, an aftermarket supplier of European auto parts for European vehicles. It is the same specs and design as the Original BMW fuel pump but at a substantial savings and with a two year warranty.

Few systems on your car go bad without warning but a fuel pump is one of them. Luckily the Original BMW fuel pumps last a long time and it might only have to be replaced once in a car's lifetime. The pump is either working or it's not. If power gets to the pump but no fuel is going through it's likely contaminated or old fuel clogging the pump internals. But most hard starting or no start issues can be traced to an electrical fault in the fuel system - a bad relay, fuse, or a related system that cuts power to the pump (EWS anti-theft for example). The fuel pump is often misdiagnosed so it's critical to have a professional diagnose the problem before throwing parts and money at it.
