Fuel Pressure Accumulator Tank, Bosch - E21 320i/323i 79-83

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 16121118899 (16 12 1 118 899) and is described as the Fuel Accumulator for 1979-1983 E32 320i and 323i. This is a tank located next to the fuel pump and filter and holds liquid gasoline under pressure after the engine has been shut off. Liquid fuel is required to avoid vapor lock on hot starts (the fuel turning to vapor in hot fuel lines). It's also known as a swirl pot.
