The fog lights on the E36 are notorious for getting taken out by rocks, stones and road debris. If yours has been cracked, chances are you just need a new assembly. But if your mounting bracket has also been broken and will not hold the fog light assembly in place, you may want this assembly -- which includes a new plastic mounting bracket which installs to the backside of the bumper cover assembly. 

This is the RIGHT side (passenger side on Left hand drive / US spec models).
