This right side (passenger side on US / LHD models) head light is specifically for the early (pre-facelift) E46 4 door models with the base / non-HID headlights. It's made by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to BMW, which assures you get the highest quality head light without the super heavy dealer price tag. 

This headlight can be used on the right side of 1999-2000 323i and 328i (4 door sedan and wagon) as well as the 2001 model 325i, 325xi, 330i and 330xi, as long as your car didn't come with the optional xenon lights. 

Not for cars before the 1999 model year or after the 2001 model year.
