Xenon Light Control Unit - E46 (02-06) E63/E64 (04-07) E83 (2004-2006)

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 63127176068 (63-12-7-176-068) and is described as BMW Control Unit Xenon Light. 

This HID headlight ballast pack energizes the Xenon bulbs found as an option on some E46 3 series, E83 X3, and E63/E64 6 series models. This particular control unit was used starting in the 2002 model year, and may be found in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 model BMW 3 series (sedan, coupe and convertible), as well as 2006 model coupe/convertibles. You can also find this control unit on the headlamps of 2004-2007 6 series and 2003-2006 X3.

This control unit is NOT for 3 series before 2002 or after 2006. 
This control unit is NOT for 6 series before 2004 or after 2007.

This part is manufactured by an aftermarket supplier of European auto parts, including many electrical and lighting components. While not carrying OEM status, this part follows the design of the original very closely and uses similar materials. An aftermarket part may even have the same TUV approval as its OEM counterpart. The brand may even be OEM to another manufacturer besides BMW. This aftermarket brand has a two year warranty - the same as Genuine BMW and OEM brands.

 If you are doing a DIY repair on your E46 or E63/E64 Xenon headlights, perhaps after a control unit popped, this replacement can be a pretty simple fix. 

Please be sure to check your existing unit to make sure this is the style your BMW used (as BMW changed the xenon control units on more than one occasion).
