Gas Spring/Shock for Vertical Seat Adjustment - E30 E24 E28 E23

This Seat Shock is used on the non-electric front seats of E30, E28, E24, and E23 models. It's job is to apply a calculated amount of pressure on the seat back rest, via gas-pressurization in the damper, which aids in the vertical adjustment of the left or right front seat bottom cushion. When these fail, the seat back "goes limp" and doesn't return itself to the upright position when the seat back adjustment lever is activated. Good news! This issue is easy to fix with the right part! 

Each seat uses 2 of these shocks, so be sure to buy enough for your seat repair job. Be sure to order two if you are replacing both on one seat, or four if you are replacing all the front seat shocks.
