This set is specifically for the E31 840Ci, 850i, 850Ci, and 850CSi Coupe, which include the model years 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1997.
The Bilstein B8 Sport shock is ideal for cars with a lowered suspension, and works great with most lowering spring manufacturers (such as H&R, Eibach, and others). These B8 Sport shocks are about 20mm shorter (about 0.75 inch shorter) than a stock E31 8-series shock, making them less likely to bottom out with lowering springs, and making them ideal for cars lowered 1-2" from their stock ride height.
