This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 31306869931 (31-30-6-869-931) and is described as the top hex bolt used to mount the upper strut mount/bearing to the strut tower on 2015+ F22/F23/F44/F87 2-series, F30/F31/F34/F80 3-Series, F32/F33/F34/F82/F83 4-Series, F48/U11 X1, and F39 X2. This is the M8 bolt used on cars with the 5-bolt upper strut mount (generally cars made from 1/2015). BMW calls for new bolts any time these are loosened. The factory torque spec is 30ft-lbs plus another 90° rotation. Sold per bolt.

Only for models with 5-hole upper strut mounting. Some early models used a 3-hole mount, which requires a larger bolt diameter.
