Front Dust Boot & Bump Stop Kit, URO - E70 X5, E71 X6 with Adaptive Drive/EDC

This 4-piece kit contains a pair of front dust boots (BMW part #31336776554) and a pair of front bump stops (BMW part #31336771516) for E70 X5 and E71 X6 models equipped with EDC electronic shocks. The bump stops are a foam bushing installed on the shock shaft to give a cushion to the suspension when it reaches full compression. This helps protect the shock absorber from further damage. These foam cushions take a beating, especially when other suspension parts are worn out.

The upper foam discs positioned above these are also well known for failure (aka Support Bearing Elastomer). When replacing these discs it's a great idea to also replace these bump stops and dust boots as "while you're in there" parts.

Only for cars with EDC/VDC Adaptive Drive electronic suspension.

This part is manufactured by an aftermarket supplier of European auto parts, including many suspension components. While not carrying OEM status, this part follows the design of the original very closely and uses similar materials. An aftermarket part may even have the same TUV approval as its OEM counterpart. The brand may even be OEM to another manufacturer besides BMW. This aftermarket brand has a two year warranty - the same as Genuine BMW and OEM brands.
