Many BMW models include electronically-adjustable shocks (EDC), also known as ESC or Adaptive Drive. When upgrading to coil overs or different shocks the EDC becomes disabled, which results in error messages or faults appearing on your iDrive or OBC.
This kit from KW Suspensions plugs into the EDC harness and tricks the system into thinking the EDC system is still active. It will prevent the errors and faults common with removing EDC components. In some cars you can using coding changes to deactivate the EDC. But coding has risks and may be overwritten during regular service work.
Most KW Variant suspensions will include this module kit for EDC models. You don't need to buy the EDC-delete separately. But if you bought a kit without it this kit is exactly what you need. Note: this kit works only with KW coil over kits, not other brands.
The kits are vehicle-specific with the correct plugs for your car's harness. Each module needs to be mounted securely in the car, away from heat and moisture. Installation instructions are included.
