The thrust arm (aka tension strut or upper control arm) is key to the great driving and braking characteristics of your BMW. The inner bushing is filled with a vibration-absorbing fluid that will leak or evaporate and leave behind a spongy rubber bushing that will ruin the driving experience and possibly cause a suspension failure. We always recommend checking both inner and outer bushings along with the wishbone (lower control arm) when diagnosing issues.
