Bolts, screws, and nuts to replace when removing the front subframe on F22 2-series, F30 3-series, F32 4-series models (including xDrive*).

This kit includes the hardware needed when removing the front subframe or access to the oil pan for gasket replacement, rod bearings, crank hub, or any other work done with the oil pan removed. This package closely follows the BMW method** for removing the front subframe and includes the hardware called for in the BMW diagrams.

**the factory BMW procedure involves releasing the control arms at the outer hub/knuckle and dropping the subframe with the arms still attached. Others will prefer to remove the arms from the subframe. There are arguments for both but this is the factory-documented way.

This package of F3X subframe hardware closely follows the BMW procedure for dropping the front subframe. There are obviously multiple ways to do this. There may be bolts or nuts in this package that you don't use. And we did not include every bolt and nut that could be replaced. If you have additional requests or changes we'd be happy to accommodate you.

Undertray reinforcement bolts are not included. The factory torque spec involves an an extra little stretch (56Nm + 90°) but we know many people who re-use them, or did not follow the factory torque spec, so we made them optional here - see Related Items below (#31106858433).

On some cars there is a foam isolator between the subframe and the frame rail. As far as we can tell BMW installed these on cars with run-flat tires to better isolate road vibrations and harshness. If you wish to replace them, see our Related Items below (#31106856004).

This hardware are manufactured by original suppliers to BMW for many other bolts and nuts. As an OEM it meets all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and is TUV approved. OEM parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. This part has a two year warranty.
