Our X5 Front Thrust Arm Ball Joint is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) part that incorporates the same manufacturing processes and quality as the original BMW part, so it's an ideal replacement item.

Unlike most BMWs, the X5's front thrust control arm does not include the ball joint when purchased new. Instead, it is mounted to the hub and the arm is then secured to it. We suggest replacing this ball joint anytime you replace the thrust control arm.
